CONTRIBUTIONS

obligations to lenders, government authorities, and other stakeholders. Despite
challenges in the power sector, the company has continued to take steps to maintain
discipline and transparency in its operations.
Repayments to Banks and Financial Institutions
The company has repaid a total of Rs 59,830 crore to banks and financial institutions since 2008.
This includes Rs 33,390 crore towards principal and Rs 26,440 crore towards interest.
These repayments reflect Reliance Power’s efforts to service its debt over time. Even during difficult
market conditions, the company has continued to prioritise repayments and work closely with lenders.
Payments to Central and State Government Authorities, and Statutory Dues
Reliance Power has paid Rs 12,150 crore to Central and State Government authorities. This includes taxes,
duties, and other statutory payments.
These contributions show the company’s compliance with regulations and its role in supporting government
revenues and public spending.
Monetisation of Assets
The company has generated Rs 6,362 crore through monetisation of assets. The full amount raised has been
used to repay lenders. This has helped reduce debt and improve the company’s financial position,
while ensuring transparency in how the funds are used.
Reliance Power’s actions show a consistent effort to meet its responsibilities. Through repayments,
statutorypayments, and asset monetisation, the company has worked towards managing
its obligations in a steady and responsible way.
